On
September 23, Dr. Stewart generously gave all the Grace Christian
students the privilege of wearing crazy socks. He entitled
it "Six Crazy Socks Days." The students were overjoyed, and
had a lot of fun wearing all their unique and colorful socks.
The elementary students especially enjoyed combining mi smatched
socks to enhance the Crazy Sock Week experience. Destiny Richardson,
a third grader, wore mismatched socks. Levi Duininck, a student
in Mrs. Kubow's first grade class, said, "On Friday, I wore
my sister Hanna's soccer socks to school. They went all the
way up my leg."
Fourth grader Katie Clark said of her crazy
socks, "These are my favorite socks because they're crazy
and fun to wear. I like Crazy Socks Week because I don't have
to worry about dress code." In addition to Dr. Stewart's amazing
gift of Crazy Socks Week, he granted a Free Dress Day on Friday,
October 1. The students are very excited and can't wait to
wear "normal" clothing to school. They have all enjoyed their
week of expressing their originality through their footwear.
Bunmi Fagbenro, a junior, said, "Crazy Socks Week not only
unifies the school as one unit, but also shows unique and
interesting personalities. Crazy Socks Week is pandemonium!"
