The senior float trip was a memorable and bonding experience for our class. Although it was cold and cloudy, we had fun spending time with each other. Many classmates attempted to swing into the water off a rope that was tied onto a tree. The overcast weather did not dampen our spirits, but possibly increased the enjoyment of the experience by a degree (or two).
After our float trip was over, we stayed overnight at Camp Egan . Our activities at night included sardines, spades, catch phrase, four-square, and tetherball. Before our sardines game we all had a great praise and worship led by Jim Morgan and Christa Barber, followed by a short testimonial by Pastor Mike Goolsbay. When it was time to retire to our cabin, the boys decided to play a friendly game of Arctic Circle . The rules were simple: all we had to do was turn down the thermostat as low as it could go and see who could last the longest. It was unfortunate for Matt Cason, who had forgotten his bedding material. He was forced to "rough it" for the whole night with only the layers of clothing that he brought. Over all, everyone had a great time, and we all look forward to the rest of our senior year and the events to come.
