Dear GCS Parent: In the past six weeks, since the close of the 2009-2010 school year, parents, teachers and the congregation of Grace Church have been working together to gather financial commitments and increase enrollment for the upcoming school year. Although all have worked hard, some financial commitments have come in but enrollment has decreased instead of increasing. We are now only six weeks away from time to begin a new school year and a decision has to be made. My heart is saddened today because Grace Christian School is having to close after thirty two years of raising up godly young people with a strong Biblical world view. I have a personal stake in the school because my children are graduates and my grandchildren are presently attending. Enrollment is down to the point that remaining open would be financially detrimental to the church. The economic status of many families has caused them to seek an education for their children elsewhere. Continue to pray for our present students to find other Christian schools to attend and our teachers to find employment as well.
